Things I like to do in my spare time

I have come to realise in the past few days that I have not really spoken much about things like hobbies and stuff that I am particularly interested in. so that is precisely what I am going to do today in this week’s blogs. So, let us begin with what I do when I have a bit of extra time on my hands (which is actually quite rare for me).

Most of the time is spent playing games on my computer when it comes to my breaks. Sometimes with my brother, sometimes not with him (come to think of it, it is nearly all the time with my brother). The games that you are most probably going find me playing are either Battle Blocks Theatre or Minecraft (this one being my favourite of the two). But if it is one of those times when you feel like you do not want to push yourself too hard, I use Deeeep.io. it can get a bit intense but it is still a nice, slow paced game. But enough about games, let us talk about the many other things I like to do.

Reading has always been my plan B if I am feeling really bored. Once I start to read a page, the book completely absorbs my mind so it feels like have been teleported into the actual story. Sometimes I get so deep into the story that anything trying to get my attention. or tries to make me listen to then, is completely blacked out. Most of the time it really annoys them (especially my mum and dad). They just don’t get it. It is not my fault that the books I read are all so interesting. I have spoken about this enough times for all of you to know that my favourite style of book is fantasy and adventure. But I have not said why it is my favourite. Well, most of these types of books are set in the modern world. Characters are doing all these cool missions and discovering amazing places but the normal civilians have no idea that these things are happening all around them. To me, I imagine that those sort of things are going on in our world but we just have no clue what it is exactly. You begin to wonder if it is happening at this very moment. It is always full of mystery. Now to what I like to do in those times when you forgot to go to the library and it has already closed.

(<- one of my unfinished drawing).

Drawing and any other types of arty things are always my favourite activities. Other than reading, I feel like it is the only time when you can truly let your imagination go wild. There is no limit in what you can do, nothing can possibly go wrong as there is no right or wrong in art (unless of course you have a very strict art teacher who likes to find flaws in everything).

Anyway, those are only some of things I like to do and the list can go on forever (but if we end up talking about food, the list would end up being pretty short). By the way, the various animal paintings are what I used to decorate my mum’s storage boxes.

  1. Good one Maya?
If time permits, I would say give history related books a go, particularly Indian. I found it spectacular.
